Known for competing in high-profile, international, high fashion events which feature all the bells and whistles: the red carpet treatment, lights, cameras, photographers, fashion designers and models galore, this is not your ordinary model search company. It is an opportunity for models across the country to make a significant impact in the lives of others, becoming the metaphorical canvas upon which the true beauty of the world can be seen.
What is WEModel and what does it do?
The WEModel USA is designed for more than just fashion, however. The intent is to increase awareness of a troubling and prevalent issue in society today to the next level: Human sex trafficking. This WEModel USA initiative brings more insight into preventing and protecting human trafficking victims by giving them an outlet to report suspicious activity, unlawful acts, and help victims of trafficking seek assistance based on their individual needs.
Through WEModel USA’s annual shows and competitions, we not only celebrate women, but we also empower them to do the right thing, especially in the face of our principal campaign. In addition to mesmerizing the crowd as they champion the runway, the main spotlight upon which we cast a bright light is the WEModel USA initiative of raising greater awareness on the increasingly prevalent global issue of human trafficking, most notably in the form of sex trafficking.
The WEModel USA has promoted over 65 models globally, with one receiving a full-time paid modeling contract in Milan, Italy, in 2015. Another model signed an agreement to be Dubai’s face with a global agency based in New York. Additionally, A Paris France agency selected one model for a casting call. Our models showcased at paid events through the DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas.
In 2016, 10 models had the experience of a lifetime through an all-expenses-paid six-day trip to Southern Italy that included an overnight stay in Paris, France.
In 2018, WEModel USA models went to Fiuggi, Italy, and participated in the Ragazza Moda e Spettacolo. The Italians hosted a fabulous and well-attended event. WEModel USA contestants secured the spotlight in many ways, including second place; Best Hair 2018; Best Photogenic International. The WEModel USA took the Ragazza Moda e Spettacollo’s 2018 International Title to top off this incredible event. A WEModel Contestant from Greensboro, NC, captured this illustrious title out of a pool of 82 contestants representing 10+ countries, competing against a full house of beautiful and talented ladies to catch this top honor.
In 2019, WEModel events included participating in the Cannes Festival in France in March, and then WEModel USA took nine models to Sicily, Italy, and showed out. There wasn’t one title the USA didn’t take. The USA owned the Ragazza Moda 2019 as we received the 1st, 2and 3 place titles, and this was the first year of taking a fashion designer who won the Designer of the Show! WEModel USA has set its sights even higher for 2021! We will not stop after COVID-19. Our complete plan includes the proposed recruitment of models through March 2021 to select 200+ models in two categories:
- runway and face/beauty competitions
- mini pop-ups and photoshoots
- a visit to Paris fashion week in April
- a U.S. model competition & fashion charity gala
- Up to ten models will participate in at least one international excursion.

My favorite part of We Model USA 2019 was meeting new friends, I met Maguy (the lovely Sagittarius model from Ireland) and we still talk to this day. The friendships you make, the beautiful sites modeling in gorgeous designs, I felt so blessed to be part of We Model to represent the United States and to speak out against Sex Trafficking.
i have been associated with WEModel USA for past five years as a Photographer and as a Creative Advisor. I have fully supported its goals and missions from “Fight against Human Trafficking” to ” Women Empowerment” . It gives excellent platforms to young and talented girls who want to enter fashion and modeling industry. I had the chance to escort WEModel team to Italy in 2016 for a Fashion Competition and it was an amazing experience. I wish my dear friend, Patricia Watts, all the success and hope she and her team continue the good work they have been doing.
