Some days I wake up in the morning, and I am ready to take on the world. I help with breakfast. I am ready for the school day to begin. I just want to be my best self. On other days, all I want to do is sit around and watch YouTube, and do you know what I call those “other days?” – A Typical Winter Day. Are you familiar with the kind? You know, when it’s so cold outside that you brace your body before you open the front door. As much as I LOVE watching the snow fall while I’m cozied up on the couch with a cup of hot chocolate, those typical winter days still seem to tiptoe along making me less productive than my usual self. Who has time for that? Not me, with my schoolwork and all of the playing that I definitely need to do. So, I developed a self-care routine to help motivate me on those days. First, I turn on my music (Stephen Sharer is my fave), then I pick out an outfit, and I do my makeup. I take my time and enjoy the process. Yes, I do this even if I am not going anywhere. What is your routine?
