#1 – CANDY!

#2 – COSTUMES!

#3 – The start of my favorite holiday season!

Let’s start with the candy. Even though most people LOVE chocolate, my favorite Halloween treat is… you guessed it – Candy Corn! Mmgh mmgh mmgh! It is so yummy, so sweet, and best of all, I can eat as many as want and NEVER once mess up my makeup. Lol! I mean, Halloween is all about the look right?

Speaking of looks, this year I dressed up in 7 different costumes; one look for each day.

Day 1: Matchy matchy mermaid fits for me AND my American Girl doll. We both donned matching crowns and pink dresses. I applied mint colored eye shadow and light pink colors to my cheeks and lips. I was very happy with the final look.

Day 2: I truly believe that I possess superhero powers. One of those powers are my ninja-like abilities. So, I decided to sport a Black Widow look in order to channel my inner warrior. Guess what you guys! For this look, I had a professional makeup artist provide a natural, yet powerful face designed for a true champion. My eyes were smoky and my lips were a deep red.

Day 3: Of course, I would not be me if Elsa (Frozen) was not a look in my 7 day Halloween costume list. In true fashion, I wore a long braid accompanied with a bare face and lip gloss to highlight my natural beauty just like Elsa.

Day 4: This one was a real toss up. I am a huge fan of Descendants, and I had a tough time deciding between my 2 favorite characters, Uma and Mal. In the end, I chose Mal because her outfit matched my purple hair. I did my own makeup for this look. Light blue and black shadow on the eyes, pink blush on the cheeks, a clear and shimmery lip gloss on the lips, and purple rhinestones on my face (personal touch).

Day 5: I decided to pay homage to a 90s film that my mom frequently watches, Poetic Justice, and dress up as Janet Jackson. This look was more about letting your natural beauty shine through while letting your personal style stand on its own legs.

Day 6: My favorite costume of the week was Owlette from PJ Masks (of course)! My ENTIRE family dressed as PJ mask characters. I was Owlette, my brothers were Catboy and Gekko, and my mom and stepfather were the opposition Luna Girl and Romeo. This costume did not require makeup because the it came with a full faced mask.

Day 7: On my last and final day of costumes, I chose a Sparkly Witch. I wanted to prank my family with magic potions. My favorite prank was when I swapped a bottle of Gatorade for water with red food coloring. I totally nailed it! I still haven’t heard the end of it! Lol! As a witch, I could go REALLY dark with the makeup, but I decided go with a clean face primarily because I had worn makeup several days throughout the week, and I wanted to give my face a few days with no product.

Now that I have told you all about my Halloween experience, I hope to hear a bit about yours. What is your favorite Halloween look?
